    Abstract:
      The Mileposts layer was collected as part of the Washington
      County, OH Road Centerline and Address Mapping Project.
      This layer contains a point-based geometry. Each point
      represents a single milepost.
    Purpose:
      The Mileposts layer was collected as a supplemental layer
      for the Washington County, OH Road Centerline and Address
      Mapping Project. Mileposts may assist in emergency
      situations. Also this layer supplies the county with the
      locations of their mileposts.
    Supplemental_Information:
      The Mileposts layer does not represent the exact locations
      of the mileposts. Locations were only collected for all
      visible milepost signs

DATA_QUALITY_INFORMATION

  Attribute_Accuracy:
    Attribute_Accuracy_Report:
      The distance from the centerline for all points generated
      in the mileposts layer was examined. If the distance
      exceeded 1.5 meters, it was determined if the point was
      still in the right of way using the ortho photo.
  Logical_Consistency_Report:
    Layer was checked for duplicate mileposts.
  Completeness_Report:
    All visible milepost signs were collected. The completeness
    of collection is not guaranteed.
  Positional_Accuracy:
    Horizontal_Positional_Accuracy:
      Horizontal_Positional_Accuracy_Report:
        The horizontal position is in the right of way as compared
        to the centerlines and ortho photos.

    Process_Step:
      Process_Description:
        In the field, raw GPS for the milepost sign is collected in
        the roadway next to the sign. The raw data is brought back
        to DDTI to be processed. A point shape file is generated
        for all mileposts collected. The shape file is checked for
        errors. Finally, the file is prepped for delivery.

    Data Technologies, Inc. (DDTI) has provided to Washington
    County, Ohio Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
    Basemapping and Data Integration services, the product of
    which have been recorded in formats for uses that include
    display on a Web site, by the County at is employee's work
    stations, and for distribution to the public (referred to
    as "Products"). While DDTI has made warranties to the
    County that the data it obtained were collected in a
    workmanlike manner using accepted industry procedures, it
    cannot guaranty 100% accuracy of the data and Products
    since two of the three major inputs to the mapping process
    require DDTI's dependence on the accuracy of information
    and technology over which DDTI has no control. Further, any
    data conversion performed by DDTI for the County to produce
    Products are subject to the same two input issues. These
    two inputs over which DDTI has no control are data obtained
    from satellite-controlled positioning and data that the
    County has provided to DDTI from public records maintained
    by the County and organizations other than DDTI. This
    Disclaimer does not mean that the final product is faulty,
    but simply that DDTI cannot warrant the accuracy of the
    Products containing the final data, which are an
    integration of its collected data, the satellite-controlled
    positioning data, and the information given to DDTI by the
    County. THEREFORE,
    DDTI PROVIDES THE DATA TO THIRD PARTY USERS OF THE DATA ON
