Rule 11 Service by posting and mail - O.C.R. 4.4(A)(2) Pursuant to Ohio Civil Rule 4.4(A)(2), in Divorce, Annulment, and Legal Separation Actions, where the Plaintiff is proceeding in forma pauperis, where the residence of the Defendant is unknown, and upon the filing of an affidavit complying with Ohio Civil Rule 4.4(A)(1) and setting forth the Defendant's last known address, the clerk shall make service by posting and ordinary mail to the Defendant's last known address with a certificate of mailing. The posting shall be done at such public places as may from time to time be designated in the Policy of the Court. The posting shall be done in locked display cases designated and maintained solely for that purpose. The service of notice shall remain posted for six weeks. The Clerk shall, at the end of that period, note on the docket the date and place of posting in order to complete service. Washington County Clerk of Courts
