Rule 31 Continuances Continuances or changes in Case Management Order deadlines shall be granted by the Assigned Judge only. Counsel may not by agreement change any date in a time frame order nor move any date for hearing or trial. Requests of change of date of a hearing or trial because of conflicts in schedule must be made within 15 days of the conference or pretrial in which the date was set or within 15 days of the receipt of notice of he hearing date whichever comes first. Failure to notify the Court of conflicts and move for a continuance within that period shall be considered to be a representation to the Court that the trial attorney has made arrangements for another lawyer either in the same or another firm to cover the hearing or trial and that client consent to such substitution has been obtained. All requests for continuances must be signed by both counsel for the party and the party unless the Assigned Judge excuses the parties failure to sign for good cause shown.
