CLERK OF COURTS Voter Registration To qualify to register, or to vote, an individual must meet each of the following requirements: To vote, an individual must be registered to vote for at least 30 days before election day. Additionally, the registration or change must be received or postmarked 30 days prior to the election in which the individual intends to vote. The County Board of Elections provides notification of where to vote. Only an original form will be accepted by the Board of Elections. Do not use Box number as an address, specify state route or specific instructions. Include phone number when at all possible for verifying purposes. For citizens who will be unable to go to their polling place on election day, they may request an absentee ballot from the Board of Elections and submit it by mail to the Board of Elections, 205 Putnam Street, Marietta, Ohio 45750.
