We accept cash, check, money order, credit and debit cards.

Paying Taxes By Mail

Please mail and tear off the small portion of your tax bill along with your check or money order. Make the check or money order payable to "Washington County Treasurer". Your envelope must be postmarked by the due date listed on your tax bill to avoid paying a penalty.

If you would like a paid receipt please enclose the entire bill along with a stamped, self addressed envelope and mail this information in the envelope provided in your tax bill. If you did not receive a printed envelope with your tax bill please mail to the following:

You need to have the original tax bill(s) you received in the mail when paying in person at the Treasurer's Office (on the 2nd floor if you enter the building from the Second Street entrance). If you do not bring your bills with you, you will be charged a $1.00 reprint fee for each parcel.

Our normal office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. If paying in person, you must do so by the due date listed on your tax bill to avoid a penalty.

There is a $2.00 flat flee to pay taxes with debit card transactions and 2.75% of the total amount due to pay with a credit card. Taxes may be paid over the phone with credit card transaction only.
