Severe Weather Preparedness

Severe weather can occur at any time, whether a winter storm, thunderstorm, ice storm, or tornado.

During a severe weather storm, it is very likely that power outages will occur.
To prevent loss of communication, every home should have a weather alert radio with Specified Area Message Encoding (SAME) technology and a battery backup.
